TravelHealthPro design refresh
Updated website designs are now live on TravelHealthPro
Our TravelHealthPro website designs have been refreshed to improve accessibility and to respond to stakeholder feedback. The Yellow Fever Zone, and our NaTHNaC launchpad to services websites will be updated soon.
There are no major changes to the website functions. You will notice changes to the font type and style of headings throughout the websites. Here we highlight some of the other changes to TravelHealthPro.
The tabs at the top of the page have had a minor name change to better reflect the content. ‘Diseases in brief’ changes to ‘Topics in brief’ and ‘Factsheets from A-Z’ changes to ‘Factsheets & Resources’.
New features
There is a new link through to information on how to access our API and widget on the home page. This is also accessible from the bottom of Factsheets & Resources and within the footer throughout the site (more information on these features will follow soon).
We can now include important messages and alerts at the top of each section of the site when required and collect user feedback in a short online survey (this will appear at the bottom of all pages on occasions).
Country Information pages
Within a Country Information page, you will notice the section tabs have been redesigned and now appear across the page. The ‘Important news’ tab has been renamed ‘news’. The weather widget is back and where data is available, it will show the current temperature in the capital city.
We now have the option to add an alert message box on the country index page or within a country page to highlight important updates. We might use this new feature on occasions when we are in the process of updating multi-country pages, for example when the updated yellow fever certificate requirements have been announced by World Health Organization.
Factsheets and Resources
This section has been redesigned to make our content easier to find. From the landing page, you can find all factsheets and resources grouped into the same themes as you scroll down: ‘infectious diseases’, ‘preparing for healthy travel’, ‘special risk travel/traveller’ and ‘clinic resources’.
If you click the ‘view all’ link within one section such as ‘infectious diseases’, you can see a clearer view of all the factsheets in that group.
We can now provide basic information on content updates when we review or edit factsheets. This information will be added going forward and will be visible at the bottom of the factsheet with an option to show or hide all updates.
We hope you like the new look TravelHealthPro. We plan to collect user feedback in the coming months, but if you have any comments or feedback to report at this stage, please email uclh.travelhealthpro@nhs.net.
