Cholera in Haiti
As of 1 November 2023, a total of 69,992 (4,080 confirmed) cholera cases, with 1,054 deaths and 65,738 hospital admissions, have been reported in Haiti since September 2022.

Between 2 October 2022, and 6 March 2023, the Haitian Ministry of Public Health, reported a total of 35,255 suspected cholera cases in 10 departments of the country, including 2,461 confirmed cases and 594 registered deaths.

From the notification of the first two confirmed cases of Vibrio cholerae O1 in the greater Port-au-Prince area on 2 October 2022, to 20 November 2022, a total of 11,039 suspected cholera cases have been reported in 10 departments of the country, including 938 confirmed cases, 9,344 hospitalized suspected cases, and 202 registered deaths. To date, 6 departments have confirmed cases (Artibonite, Centre, Grand-Anse, Sud, Sud-Est and Ouest).

As of 1 November 2022, a total of 399 confirmed cholera cases, 2,942 hospitalised suspected cases and 89 deaths have been reported This represents an increase of 82% in confirmed cases and 62% in deaths since 25 October 2022.

As of 16 October 2022, the Ministry of Health reported 22 in-hospital deaths, 66 confirmed cases, and 564 suspected cases of cholera. Whilst the majority of suspected cases are concentrated in the Ouest department, including 273 in Cité Soleil and 216 in Port-au-Prince, 14 suspected cases have also been identified in the Centre department, four in Artibonite and two in Nippes.

According to UN News, as of 9 October 2022, a total of 32 cholera cases have been confirmed, with 224 suspected cases and 16 confirmed deaths.

As of 5 October 2022, after more than three years with no cholera cases reported, two confirmed cases have been reported in the capital, with 20 suspected cases and seven deaths under investigation in other areas. WHO advise it is likely that actual case numbers are significantly higher.
