Dengue in France
On 11 October 2023, a case of dengue was confirmed in Limeil-Brévannes in the region of Île-de-France. This is the first locally acquired case in the region.

31 cases of dengue (including 2 probable cases) have been reported in France between June and September 2023. Cases have been reported in Bouches–du-Rhône (11 cases in 2 clusters), Pyrénées-Orientales (11 cases in 1 cluster), Gard (6 cases in 1 cluster), Alpes-Maritimes or Var (1 case) and Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (2 probable cases, 1 cluster) departments.
Dengue in France
On 2 October 2023, two cases of locally acquired dengue were reported in Bourg-lès-Valence in Drôme. These are the first locally acquired cases of dengue identified to date in 2023 in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

On 4 August 2023, two autochthonous (locally acquired) cases of dengue virus infection were reported in patients residing in Gardanne, the Bouche-du-Rhône department, and the Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. Both the cases had not travelled abroad recently. ECDC states that these are the first autochthonous human dengue virus infections reported in France for the 2023 transmission season.
