From 1 January to 26 May 2024, 7,851 suspected cases were reported, including 384 deaths, from 23 of the 26 provinces. This compares to 3,924 suspected cases reported during the same period in 2023. The most affected provinces in 2024 are Equateur, Sud Ubangi, Sankuru and South Kivu.
